Just wanted to drop a quick "hi" from up north.  This is Mike Walker-used to work with A. at your workshop.  I wanted to let you know that I am so glad to have the ShoeboxTasks in my classroom up here.  I have two severely challanged guys who excel with the tasks and even the more mildly challenged guys request them as special activities.  I ordered all of the second set and the two other classrooms each ordered basic curriculums.  I appreciate all of the help and information I amassed working with you and I am no able to use it daily in my autism support classroom here in Philly.  Hope all is well.  Congrats on the new tasks.....they look awesome.  Mike Walker

Centering on Children will make every effort to ensure that you get your order in a safe and timely manner. Thus far, all orders outside of the United States have reached their destinations. Some have taken more time than that which is promised by out Postal System. If we do need to put a trace on a package, some time must pass before this can be done, and the process itself can take a long time. Let’s hope we don’t have to do that. What follows is some useful information to consider when ordering from us.

If your destination for the shipment of ShoeboxTasks® is outside of the continental United States, your order request should be e-mailed to ron@shoeboxtasks.com or faxed to 828-252-7500, at which time we will return a quote for the selected items and for shipping them. The shipping quote depends upon the method the customer chooses, the estimated weight of the goods and insurance charges. The shipping quote may vary with the difference in the approximated weight and the actual weight after packaging. In addition, some countries have size or dimensional restrictions on boxes that may affect the overall shipping charges. Once a customer agrees to the total amount for the ShoeboxTasks® and the estimated shipping charges, you will receive an invoice. Upon acknowledgement of the shipping agreement below and payment of the invoice, we will then proceed with the shipment of goods.

Payment

The preferred method of payment is by credit card. You may mail, e-mail, fax or telephone your order and credit card information to us. The name of the person associated with the card, the billing address matching the name on the card and the expiration date must be current. There are no additional fees when paying by credit card. If payment is made electronically to our bank, there is an additional $11.00 processing fee added to the total cost. If payment is by check and the bank used has a US routing and transit number, no additional fees are charged. If the bank has no US affiliation, an additional processing fee of $20.00 will be added to the total cost.

Shipping Agreement

Centering on Children, Inc. uses the US Postal Service for shipping ShoeboxTasks outside the continental United States. Packages are sent by Air Parcel Post, approx. 10 days delivery. As a courtesy to our overseas customers, charges reflect only the actual shipping and insurance costs. Due to the high costs for mailing these activities, handling charges are kept to an absolute minimum.

The US Postal Service is responsible for goods shipped to the foreign country’s port of entry from which point the country’s own mail service assumes responsibility for delivering packages to their final destination. The customer pays for any taxes and/or fees peculiar to the country of destination at time of receipt. Orders originating within Ireland, Scotland, and England (and perhaps other countries) may be eligible for exemption from paying these fees. Application should be made at a local VAT office for an Import Duty Exemption Certificate. Submit this completed certificate with your order form. We will post the certificate on the box containing the materials being sent to you. There should not be any additional import fees/collections once this is done. If charged, reimbursement for these fees is possible but we understand it is a long process.

Should packages become lost during shipment, Centering on Children will track them to the port of entry in your country. Once it has been determined that the packages have arrived at the port of entry, the customer assumes responsibility for tracking packages from the point of entry to their final destination.

If cost is not the major consideration, and a speedy delivery is important, you may wish to use Federal Express or UPS who guarantee delivery to the customer’s door in about one week. Should you decide to have your ShoeboxTasks shipped using either of these services, you can expect to double the shipping costs as compared to United States Postal Service.
