Feedback

Just wanted to drop a quick "hi" from up north.  This is Mike Walker--used to work with A. at your workshop.  I wanted to let you know that I am so glad to have the ShoeboxTasks in my classroom up here.  I have two severely challenged guys who excel with the tasks and even the more mildly challenged guys request them as special activities.  I ordered all of the second set and the two other classrooms each ordered Basic Curriculums.  I appreciate all of the help and information I amassed working with you and I am now able to use it daily in my autism support classroom here in Philly.  Hope all is well.  Congrats on the new tasks.....they look awesome.  Mike Walker

Replacement Parts for Existing Customers

Recognizing the potential for wear and tear and Task components getting lost over the years, we offer replacement parts at minimal cost to our existing customers.

***Please note the following important product updates if your original order was placed in 2010 or earlier to ensure that you get components which will work with your existing ShoeboxTasks.***

*All Shoeboxes & Lids are now a customized style, designed especially for Centering on Children.  These are slightly more compact, of a sturdier plastic, a bit darker in color, and snap together a little differently than the old design.   Due to the compact nature, some of the Tasks now have fewer manipulatives.

*All containers which were 16-oz size in the older ShoeboxTasks are now 20-oz containers.

Basic Curriculum Updates:

*Task2—the 8-oz container has been replaced by a second 20-oz container.

*Task8—the 8-oz container is now a 20-oz container.

*Task10—the foamy locktagons were discontinued & replaced by hard plastic—these are not compatible with the older style.

*Task12—quantity changed from (6) to (8) megabloks.

*Task13—quantity changed from (5) larger to (7) smaller cups—these are not compatible with the older style.

*Task14—the 8-oz container is now a 20-oz container.

*Task15—the 8-oz container is now a 20-oz container.

Tasks 17-37 Updates:

*Task19—a foam block has been added underneath the cards for greater stability.

*Tasks 20 & 21 have been redesigned for functionality.  Both have new Shoebox Lids, which are Task-specific.  Task20 now requires twice as many wooden discs, while the static cling sheet is no longer required. Task21 no longer requires dowels or Velcro.

*Task22—the quantity of bolts/nuts has changed from (15) to (12).

*Task25—the FlexTube with a smooth surface has changed to a FlexTube with a ribbed design, which is sturdier and more rigid.

*Task28—the quantity of containers has changed from (5) to (4), quantity of pompoms has changed to (5) each of (4) colors.

*Task29—the quantity of tubes changed from (5) to (4), quantity of pompoms changed from (5) to (4).

*Task36—a blank white static sheet is now attached to the lid to allow the other static sheets to cling better.

*Task37—the clothespin manipulative has been replaced by a plastic shoulder washer, the 8-oz container is now a 20-oz container.

Refer to the photos and diagrams of individual Tasks for more information on current designs.  Please adjust your requests for replacement parts based on the current components—we no longer have obsolete manipulatives or the older style Shoeboxes and Lids in stock.  Lists of materials for the Basic Curriculum and Tasks 17-37 are provided on request, which may be used to formulate your request.  You must submit the name or Invoice number pertaining to your original order to request replacement parts.
